Looking past the outward appearance.

There's no doubt that everyone has those days were they don't look 10/10.
Maybe it's your hair, eyebrows, shoes, make-up or your clothes are just not the latest fashion item.

There will always be days like those but don't dwell on them; don't let them define your beauty because the real beauty lies within you.

The fact that you don't have the best jewellery on doesn't make you less attractive than the girl next door.

I'm not saying you shouldn't look good, by all means try to look presentable but remember that even the bible tells us in 1 Peter 3:3-4 that 'It is not fancy hair, gold jewellery or fine clothes that should make you beautiful. No, your beauty should come from within you - the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is of the greatest value in God's sight'.

I just love that scripture, it just about sums everything up in simple words!!

So what is the moral of the story?
Learn to look past your outward appearance by developing the beauty within. Your inner beauty could be developed by doing the simplest things like giving others a helping hand.

Remember that putting on a smile can also go a very long way; as the popular saying goes, 'a smile is the best make-up you could put on'
