As students we experience a lack of motivation MOST of the time!!
Well if you don't,
I know that I certainly do..
Even the most determined students can feel demotivated! I think it's perfectly normal..
Even during exam periods, I find myself getting carried away, with the littlest things due to lack of motivation!!
(online shopping, blog reading and general stalking of humans - lol, my greatest weaknesses)..
And yes so you know, if you're reading this I've stalked you once or twice, hahaaha, don't freak out.
I know YOU are guilty of this, so we're even *guffaws*
But that aside...
I thought I'd share with you ways I overcome lack of motivation.
1. Think of the bigger picture:
We all have hopes & dreams. I know I have a long list of things I want to achieve
Think of these things and block away anything distracting you from achieving these things.
2. Talk to 'your' people:
When I say your people, I mean individuals that are in support of your vision, people that inspire you and you can confide in. This could be friends or family..
I believe in the good old saying; 'A problem shared is a problem half solved' (I think that's how they say it, lol)
3. Take a break!
Take a break, Have a kitkat! see what I did there? ahahaha..
Seriously, take a break. Don't overwork yourself.
Take a break, think of past successes and appreciate the things around you.
4. Take it to God in Prayer:
Prayer solves everything to be honest..
And prayer should be the #1 when you feel demotivated.
~ Best believe I wrote this while I was feeling demotivated ~
Back to work, medschool is no joke :/
But I hope this has helped you...
Try applying these 4T's whenever you feel demotivated.
Now GET back to YOUR work . . . :)
xo
